Holiday decorations, like most things in life, have changed over the years. Today’s decorations reflect current realities, and this year, new decorations will be making the lineup.

The trends continuously change over time, including popular materials, colors, styles, etc. Newer decorations also feature environmentally friendly materials, reflecting the changing attitudes towards climate change. Instead of getting new decorations every year, DIY some this year as a fun activity with close family and friends. Get creative.

Artificial Christmas trees have gained momentum as more people seek environmentally conscious ways of celebrating the holidays. Colors, too, have changed. More people show a preference for white, blush, green, and copper, unlike when red, gold, and silver ruled the decorations.

Trees toppers too have received a makeover, going from just a star to include angels. Glass ornaments have been replaced with non-breakable plastic, and candles replaced by beautiful, energy-efficient LED lights.

Change remains the only constant in life; Christmas decorations are no exception. And perhaps fittingly, The Mistletoe Cocktails a drink of our modern times.
