Welcome to autumn! This is the time of year to start settling in to fall cocktails that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. While the harvest is in full swing, it’s a great time to take advantage of those fall flavours, including apples. Fresh apple cider, like the kind you get from Taves Family Farm, can make wonderful cocktails, like The Outcider, which is bursting with flavours. The sweet cider, spicy cinnamon, and floral liquor, soften the tequila into a beautiful, warm cocktail, perfectly balanced with the acid from the lemon.
- ½ Quartered Fresh Lemon
- Pinch of Ground Cinnamon
- 2 oz Tequila
- 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur
- 1 ½ oz Taves Family Farm Apple Cider
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle lemon and ground cinnamon. Add a scoop of ice, tequila, elderflower liquor, and apple cider. Shake for about 20 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
