This American Thanksgiving holiday, get your fill at the infamous Urge Miami Festival 2023! This fabulous event promises three nights of non-stop entertainment, two thrilling daytime parties, and an unforgettable party on South Beach. This LGBTQ+ festival, scheduled for November 24 – 27, 2023, is more than just a celebration. It’s a powerful statement of unity and solidarity!
Urge Miami Defies Adversity and Supports the Community
This year’s Urge Miami Festival arrives amidst challenging circumstances for the LGBTQ+ community in Florida. The state has gained unfortunate notoriety for its recent onslaught of anti-LGBTQ legislation. So much so that it prompted the Human Rights Campaign to issue a travel advisory earlier this year.
Despite this, the festival’s importance has only grown. It plays a huge role in supporting local LGBTQ+ businesses and fostering resilience within the community. Urge Miami Festival makes a significant economic contribution to the local community by attracting tourists and boosting revenue. Moreover, a portion of the festival’s proceeds will benefit Miami Beach Pride, an organization dedicated to celebrating the city’s LGBTQ+ population.
Producer Hilton Wolman truly says it best: “We need to stand strong against Governor DeSantis and all right-wing conservative bullies and prove that we cannot be silenced by showing our support to the local LGBTQ+ business community. We are here, we are queer, and we are not going anywhere.
