Not only is Winter Party Festival a fabulous winter retreat to the fantastic beach city of Miami, it is also a major fundraiser venture for the National LGBTQ Task Force. The National LGBTQ Task Force gives a significant amount of money to queer advocacy groups located in southern Florida and around the Miami area. $275,000 was donated by Task Force from 2016’s Winter Party Festival; $2.4 million in total over the years to the community.
What started in 1994 as one big dance party, Winter Party Festival has evolved to a world-renowned weeklong event featuring seven parties and some of the greatest events all year. Starting February 28, 2018, skip the dreary winter chill and head to the heat on Miami Beach. “Live Free. Play Hard. Give Back.” Is the official theme for Winter Party Festival 2018, and event organizers mean business. There are a slew of events throughout the week from February 28- March 6, of any and all varieties, with the week culminating in a weekend full of parties. Miami Beach plays a gorgeous hostess, being perfectly and conveniently located between South Beach and Fort Lauderdale, and always serving delicious rays of sunshine and stunning beaches to snowbirds looking for some time away from the winter.
