WorldPride 2019 has even more stars to add to its star-studded Opening Ceremony!

Broadway veteran and star of the hit queer TV show Pose, Billy Porter just recently snatched everyone’s weaves off at the Tony Awards commercial break with his spontaneously-forced (by host James Corden), yet incredible version of “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” from the musical Gypsy.

When he isn’t decimating the red carpet with his gender-bending fluidity and insanely sickening lewks, or owning the campiness of the Met Ball’s most recent camp-themed gala as an ancient Egyptian sun god, Tony Award winner Billy Porter has been a feature in the theatrical world since Liza was in her thirties. The OG star of the Cyndi Lauper hit musical Kinky Boots will be one of the featured performers at WorldPride Opening Ceremony.

A singer and songwriter with one of the most unique voices in the industry, Daya has also signed on to be one of the featured entertainers for WorldPride opening ceremonies. The Grammy Award winning singer of the Chainsmoker’s dance hit “Don’t Let Me Down” is also known for her tracks like “Hide Away,” “Words,” and “Feel Good”.

WorldPride 2019’s opening ceremony is going to be off the chain. Hosted by legendary Oscar-winning actress, comedian, and host on the show The View, Whoopi Goldberg, the opening ceremony will be a star-studded affair. Cyndi Lauper is headlining a never-before-seen performance alongside Chaka Khan, Ciara, Todrick Hall, and now Billy Porter and Daya have been added to that list.

Finally, it’s also recently been announced that Madonna is headlining Pride Island on Sunday, June 30. The queen of pop is returning to her NYC roots to one, two, cha cha cha with her favorite fans: the LGBT community.
One of the most outspoken queer rights activists and allies, Madonna is pop legend and will be performing an incredible concert for the last day of pride, following the parade. With her brand-new album out now, Madonna will surely be bringing the hits while treating her audience to new numbers.

While tickets to Pride Island are completely sold out, tickets are still available to the star-studded line up for WorldPride Opening Ceremony.
